O Lord, You know

You know. O Lord, You know.
You know the depth of my walk with you.
You know the sincerity of my heart.
You know the reality of my time in Your Word
(or the lack of it).
You know my heart in prayer.
You know!
This is a comfort and a conviction.
A two-edged sword that reveals to me
Your knowledge, Your awareness of my passion
and devotion,
or my apathy and deception.
There are times when my heart seeks You.
Times when I am often quiet before You, and
before Your Word.
Times when the sincerity of what men see
is true.
But there are also times when my spirit
is dry and weak
because of my negligence to spend time with You.
In those times You know the truth
even when others see and believe the
well-placed, facade.
You know,
O Lord,
You know!
