marriages, babies, jobs, housework, church, parents, friends, laundry, cooking, and many other daily tasks in the life of a woman of God. We will strive to meet the expectations placed on us by all these different relationships and duties. We will be successful at some, fail at some, and manage to handle the others.
Sometimes it can seem like we are spending all our energy and not really making headway in the areas we wish we could. We, as women, can feel a great deal of pressure and guilt when we have let someone down. We try to keep all the balls in the air, and yet inevitably one crashes to the ground, and we feel bad that we can't do it all. Our culture has trained us to think that a mighty woman can balance everything perfectly no matter how much is put on her plate.
What our days really call for is a firm foundation, and honest, godly priorities.
God doesn't call us to do it all, He calls us to godly relationships, and service to His kingdom. He gives us wisdom, when we seek it, to see what does and doesn't need to be in our day, and helps us clear out the clutter. He wants us to remember that HE IS OUR FIRM FOUNDATION. He keeps us steady as we take time to seek His face in His Word and in prayer. Have you been there yet today? If not, make the time, give Him the moments, listen to His Word, hear His still, small voice - and breathe in the peace of a life of moments commited to Him.
